Meatball Sub Recipe

Want a cosy Firehouse Meatball Sub at home? This simple recipe loads juicy meatballs, melty cheese, and tasty marinara into a toasty roll for a super flavourful bite.
Key Ingredients
- 5–6 cooked meatballs ( beef)
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- 2–3 slices provolone cheese
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 sub roll (6–8 inches, like Firehouse’s toasted roll)
How To Make
- Toast the Roll: Slice the roll in half. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan and toast the roll, cut-side down, for 2–3 minutes until crispy.
- Warm the meatballs: in a small pot, mix meatballs with ½ cup marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer on low for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Build the sub: place provolone slices on the bottom half of the toasted roll. Add the hot meatballs and spoon extra sauce on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
- Melt & Serve: Close the sub and heat it briefly in the pan or oven until the cheese melts.
- Enjoy: Serve it hot and enjoy!
